Seriously what is wrong with people.  During the weekend about 2000 people showed up at Balboa Park for a midnight water gun fight.  The bottom 2 pictures show what happened because of them.  I mean honestly, those people had their “fun” but at what cost? Those 2000 people pretty much destroyed the famous lily pond in Balboa Park.  They trampled all over the plants, broke a pipe, and caused the pond to be drained down to about a couple feet of water.  The park officials say most if not all the koi fish in the pond will die, along with all the water lilies too.  The total cost for all these damages is around $10,000.  This pond is a 97 year old landmark with so much history around it, and is considered the most photographed part of Balboa Park.  And now its all completely trashed thanks to 2000 people with no common sense at all.  This is just sad and disgusting that there are immature idiots like that out there with no respect at all for what was one of San Diego’s most beautiful landmarks.
